Bhandardara Fireflies Festival Camping 2026 is expected to be held from mid-May to early June, just before the monsoon season begins in Maharashtra. This pre-monsoon period provides the ideal humidity and environmental conditions required for fireflies to glow in large numbers.
Duration: The festival is usually organised as a 1-night, 1-day camping experience, allowing visitors to witness peak firefly activity at night.
Peak Timings: Fireflies are most active between 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM, when the surroundings are dark and undisturbed.
Camping Site: Camping is typically arranged near Arthur Lake, forest-edge areas, or designated private properties to ensure eco-compliance and minimal disturbance.
Temperature: For this season, the temperature usually ranges between 20°C and 30°C. This offers warm evenings and cooler early mornings suitable for overnight camping.

- 8.00am:Depart from Borivali national park further pickups at Andheri,Kalanagar,Sion,Ghatkopar,Thane,
- 2.00pm:Have lunch on the way
- 5.00 pm: Reach the campsite and enjoy delicious snacks
- 6.00 pm: Check in into your camps and chill around the lake
- 8.00 pm: Dinner will be served
- 10.00 pm: We will go for a fireflies walk to spot the bioluminescent birds
- Later night enjoy your time with the newly made friends
