Overview

The Rajmachi Fireflies Festival 2026 shall be at its peak from mid-May to end of June. The time when fireflies are active to mate with one another, competing in enormous numbers to find a mate, producing synchronized flashing lights across whole hillsides.

What it offers: Camping at Rajmachi during this time offers a unique camping experience, but the "off-the-grid" experience comes with its set of challenges. The campsite is ideal for this naturally occurring phenomenon and is also close to the base village- Udewadi. Picture sitting outside your tent and feeling the cool breeze before the monsoon, the forest shimmering around you as you look over at the shadowy outline of the twin forts — Shrivardhan and Manaranjan — that tower over the landscape, with stars swirling above.
