   Kalu Waterfall trek is the highest and largest waterfall in Malshej Region. It is one of the less explored places in Maharashtra. It can be seen from Malshej Ghat main road but its structure is such that 90% of the falls is hidden and one needs to do the trek to watch the Kalu waterfall trek .

     Kalu waterfall trek  undoubtedly is the highest waterfall in Malshej Ghat & falls from a height of about 1200 feet.

    The waterfall originates from Harishchandragad and subsequently flows through the Khireshwar village.

     A seasonal waterfall, it is at its peak in the monsoons; however, the best time to visit is from Jully to October.

Cancellation Policy:-

  1. If Trek gets cancelled due to Police restrictions/any other unforeseen circumstances/natural calamity 40% of the amount will be refunded. Our trek leaders will try conducting some other nearby trek and make your weekend happy. We always try to make your weekend the best one and as per the plan but in this covid time we need to make some changes in the plan.

  2. If you cancel the trek by your own before 24 hrs. of the event ,30% will be cancellation charges. On the spot cancellation/12 hrs. before the trek will  not be refunded.

  3. Once booking is done and if you cancel the trek the amount will not be refunded, but you can use the paid amount by attending any other event of Trekfit adventures in the next 3 months/pass on your credit to your friend but for this condition you need to inform us 14 hrs before the trek departure.

  • 4.00am: Reach the base village for Kalu Waterfall trek(Rest in the bus)
     
  • 5.00am: Start the trek post breakfast
     
  • 1.00pm: Explore and reach back to the base village for lunch
     
  • 4.00pm: Depart to Mumbai
     
  • 8.00pm: Arrival in Mumbai(Arrival timings may depend upon completion time and other weather conditions for the trek kindly keep a two hour buffer)

From Pune to Kalu Waterfall

For those coming from Mumbai, the trip to Kalu Waterfall (about 160 km) is shorter but equally scenic. The drive winds through green hills, quiet villages, and stretches of countryside. As you move closer, the majestic Western Ghats begin to appear, especially vibrant in the monsoon. The journey offers a refreshing break from the city, setting the mood for a peaceful trek. It’s not just about reaching the waterfall—the drive itself feels like part of the adventure.




 

Things to Carry
  • Snacks(Energy bars, Chikki, Biscuits, Sprouts, Chips, Dry fruits)

  • Glucon D/Protein shakes/Gatorade/ORS

  • Carry extra pair of clothes which we can change after completion of the trek.

  • 2/3 litres water. Shortage of water is faced during treks so please carry enough water.(Mandatory)

  •  Any personal medicine and personal first aid(Mandatory)

  • Good grip trekking shoes (Mandatory)

  • One day backpack/rucksack of 30 litres (Mandatory)

  • Sun cap and Sunscreen.

  • Rains are expected so please carry a raincover /Jacket and cover your phones also in a plastic cover.

  • Don’t bring any expensive items during treks. Trekfit wont be responsible for any loss of phone/valuable item.

  • Good torch with an extra battery if you have planned a night Trek

  • Waterproof mobile cover for protecting your phone
