1)How do you prepare for the Andharban trek?
The trail is mostly flat, but it is essential to wear hiking clothes and a full set of clothes to protect your belongings from the rain. The Andharban trek is a great monsoon adventure in the hills of Maharashtra, and is a unique experience to have.
2)What animals are in the Andharban trek?
Being a jungle trek, Andharban offers views of flora and fauna, with several species of birds to be seen, such as the chaatak, the Malabar whistling thrush, dwarf kingfishers, and minivets among several others. The Indian Giant Squirrel has been seen around the area, although sightings are rare.
3)Is Andharban jungle trek easy or difficult?
The Andharban forest is located at an altitude of 2160 feet in Tamhini Ghats and the entire trek time is about 5 hours to cover 13 kilometers of the trail. It is a relatively ease trail so first time trekkers are also welcome.
4)What is the total distance of Andharban Trek?
The trek covers a distance of approximately 14 kilometers and takes around 10 hours to complete. It involves crossing three major waterfalls and navigating through a dense and slippery forest. The trail is moderately challenging, requiring good endurance and fitness level.
5) The ideal number of days required for this trek?
One day is sufficient for the Andharban trek. You can keep 2 extra days to explore places around Lonavala and Pune.
6) How much time is required to complete this trek?
You can complete the entire trek in 6-8 hours, subject to change as per the weather condition.
7) Is the event safe for solo female travelers?
There are many solo travelers that join us for the event, most of them being females. We pay special attention to the safety of our guests and separate accommodation is provided to men and women.
