Ashtavinayaka (अष्टविनायक) means "eight Ganeshas" in Sanskrit. Ganesh is the deity of unity, prosperity & learning which removes obstacles. Visiting the temples of Ashtavinayaka refers to a pilgrimage to the eight Ganesh temples in Maharashtra state of India that house eight distinct idols of Ganesha, in a pre-ascertained sequence. This trip covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesha which are situated around Pune. Each of these temples has its own individual legend and history, as distinct from each other as the murtis in each temple.

Ashtavinayak Dtemples are eight very special and sacred temples in and around Pune district. They are Swayambhu or self-incarnated, and have divine power. The eight temples are a Morgaon (Mayureshwar), Siddhatek (Siddhivinayak), Pali (Ballaleshwar), Mahad (Varadvinayak), Theur (Chintamani), Lenyadri (Girijatmaj), Ozar (Vighnahar), and Ranjangaon (Mahaganapati).
- DAY 1 -
Board on Bus for very famous & spiritual Ashtavinayak Yatra (Pickup starts from Borivali at 04.30 AM). Witness very first worship of Mahad Swayambhu (Self-generated) to Lord Varadvinayak, Post darshan fullfill your tummy with yummy breakfast & get yourself ready to visit second temple of the day i.e. at Pali of lord Ballaleshwar, Later have Lunch & witness darshan of Lenyadri at Girijatmaj Temple afterwards evening tea and then proceed Ozar - Vighneshwar Temple. Dinner and Night Stay at Hotel.
- DAY 2 -
Wakeup early morning and proceed for Darshan of Maha Ganpati at Ranjangaon. Later have breakfast & move on for next darshan towards Theur of lord Chintamani. Next comes Lord Siddhivinayak of Siddhatek. Time for short break - relief yourself with delicious lunch. Set yourself for darshan of Lord Mayureshwar/Moreshwar at Morgaon. After darshan have evening tea and proceed to home town i.e. start with the return journey.
- Can senior citizens and children join the 1N2D Ashtavinayak Yatra ?
- There is no problem in joining the 1N2D Ashtavinayak Yatra. However, it can be a little straneous for elderly people as four temples will be covered in a day. Similarly, children may get bored because of continuous travel whole day.
- What is included in the Ashtavinayak Darshan yatra 1 night 2 day package from Mumbai ?
- If you book a one-night, two-day Ashtavinayak Darshan yatra, then it will cover four temples in a day. There will be night halt at any designated place decided by the tour operator and the remaining four temples will be covered next day.
