Bhandardara Fireflies Festival Camping 2024*

 

Before the monsoon arrives, the tiny bioluminescence beings sparkle and shine to emit a glow. It's nature’s own light show that amuses one and all. Fireflies typically shine at twilight to attract mates or prey. These fireflies bring magic to your summer night. Play with these little creatures while they keep amusing you all night long. Photographers be ready with your cameras, so as to capture the sight and save it forever. Add to this the fun of a camping-night in the folds of majestic Sahyadris.
Located in Igatpuri near Nashik, Bhandardara is a scenic hill station. The night trek which is followed by camping beside the blue Pravara Lake, beneath the clear star-studded sky and the awesome sight of innumerable jugnus or kajwas lightning up at the campsite is truly a sight to behold.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Begin Your Journey to Bhandardara

09:00 AM: Depart from Pune via private vehicle

Pickup Points: BMCC College (FC Road) and Nashik Phata

02:00 PM: Halt for lunch en route (self-sponsored unless included in package)

05:00 PM: Arrive at the Bhandardara campsite and enjoy evening snacks.

Check into your camps at 6:00 PM and relax by the lake.

Dinner will be served at the campsite at 8:00 PM.

10:00 PM: A guided night walk to see the magical glow of Bhandardara Fireflies in the nearby forest areas

Late-night free time to relax and talk to other people in the group

Day 2: Relax and go back to Pune

Get up at 8:00 AM and have breakfast at the campsite.

10:00 AM: Check out and start the trip back to Pune.

02:00 PM: Stop for lunch on the way (if the schedule allows)

11:00 PM: Expected to arrive in Pune by nightfall
