As we await the upcoming monsoon season's first showers, we welcome the season of fireflies. Western Ghats jungles will soon twinkle with a small light, and this period is the mating season for fireflies. Enjoy Firefly camping at Rajmachi Village near Lonavala. Fireflies Festival at night covers the forest with small twinkling lights. 

About Rajmachi Firefly Festival?
Pre-monsoon during May and June months you can spot thousands of fireflies around Mumbai and Pune. Rajmachi Fort Trek and Camping is the best location in Maharashtra to spot fireflies.We will reach directly to the base camp by our transport.(In case if it rains we may have to do a short trek of 4 to 5 km). Spot fireflies after sunset around the Udhewadi village. Fireflies are called Kajawa in Marathi. 

About Rajmachi Fort 
Rajmachi Fort has two forts Shirvardhan and Manaranjan which were built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the 17th century. It is a famous spot for trekking. It is a 16 km trekking distance from Lonavala Station. Rajmachi Fort is a strategic fort overlooking Borghat which was an old trade route. Rajmachi peak has two stable structures the Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan Fort. Places to visit in Lonavala during monsoon the fort is covered with fog and mist. Lonavala sightseeing you can spot Rajmachi Killa from Khandala there is a dedicated viewing point.

Itinerary

🗓️ Day 1

🕕 06:30 PM – Report to Trek Leaders at J.M. Corner, Shivaji Nagar.
🕡 07:00 PM – Pickup from Wakad.
🕘 10:00 PM – Reach base village. On the way, enjoy the mesmerizing fireflies trail.
🕙 10:30 PM – Participants will set up their own tents with guidance from Trek Leaders and enjoy the peaceful camping vibe under the stars.
🕚 11:00 PM – Dinner will be served at the campsite.
🕦 11:30 PM – Visit to Udaysagar Lake. Enjoy the magical atmosphere filled with glowing fireflies around the lake area.
🕛 12:00 AM – Gather for fun activities and group interaction .✨
🌙 After activities, enjoy overnight camping stay and rest well for the next morning trek.

🗓️ Day 2

🕠 05:00 AM – Wake-up call & freshen up.
🕡 06:00 AM – Start trek towards Rajmachi Fort (Shrivardhan Fort).
🕢 07:00 AM – Reach the top and witness a beautiful sunrise with scenic valley views. Photo session 📸
🕗 08:00 AM – Start descending towards base village.
🕘 09:00 AM – Reach base village, relax & have breakfast.
🕚 11:00 AM – Start return journey to Pune by private bus.
🕑 02:00 PM – Reach Pune with unforgettable memories ❤️

Note - If it rains, travel will be by train

CANCELLATION POLICY - 

  1. If Trek gets cancelled due to Police restrictions/any other unforeseen circumstances/natural calamity 40% of the amount will be refunded. Our trek leaders will try conducting some other near by trek and make your weekend happy. We always try to make your weekend the best one and as per the plan but in this  time we need to make some changes in the plan.

  2. If you cancel the trek by your own before 24 hrs of the event ,25% will be cancellation charges.On the spot cancellation/12 hrs before the trek will  not be refunded.

  3. Once booking is done and if you cancel the trek the amount will not be refunded, but you can use the paid amount by attending any other event of trekfit adventures in the next 6 months/pass on your credit to your friend. but for this condition you need to inform us 14 hrs before the trek departure.

Cost
1399/- per person. 📝 Note: In case of rainfall on the event day, local Sumo vehicles will be arranged for drop till the trekking point/base village for safety purposes. Extra charges of approximately ₹100 – ₹200 per person will be applicable depending on the situation and vehicle availability.
