📖 HISTORY OF KALSUBAI
According to local folklore, Kalsubai Peak is named after a Koli girl named Kalsu.
The story says that Kalsu loved wandering through the forests and eventually came to Indore village at the foothills of the mountain. She worked for a Koli family on the condition that she would not be asked to clean pots or sweep.
One day, she was asked to perform these tasks. After completing them, she climbed the hill and remained there until her death.
According to the local legend, the places associated with her work are known as Thale Mel and Kaldara, while the summit became associated with Kalsubai.

The views from the summit of Kalsubai Peak is astounding. Most of the famous peaks of the Sahyadris like Alang, Madan, Kulang, Ratangad, Ajoba are visible from here. Trekkers combine two or more treks for more adventure and challenge.
The Auspicious Temple of Kalsubai Devi at the summit
The Kalsubai temple is considered very auspicious and many villagers still visit the temple to seek the blessings of Kalsubai Devi. The temple is open throughout the year.
A pleasant walk amidst fields, farmland, and grasslands
Bari village is a farming village, from the start of the trek the walk is through extensive fields and farming land. This is the best part of the trek and is an easy enjoyable walk.
The Thrill of climbing four narrow iron ladders on vertical rock faces!
The ladder section comprising four narrow iron ladders is the most adventurous and challenging part of the trek.
The ascent and descent on this trek is the same way so there is a two-way traffic of trekkers and villagers! Trekking in the monsoon season can be tricky on these ladders.

If Trek gets cancelled due to Police restrictions/any other unforeseen circumstances/natural calamity 40% of the amount will be refunded. Our trek leaders will try conducting some other nearby trek and make your weekend happy.

We always try to make your weekend the best one and as per the plan but in this covid time we need to make some changes in the plan.

If you cancel the trek by your own before 24 hrs of the event ,25% will be cancellation charges. On the spot cancellation/12 hrs before the trek will not be refunded.

It is the highest peak in the Sahyadri mountain range of Maharashtra at an elevation of 1646 mts. It is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune. This trek offers a breath taking combination of natural environments like waterfalls, forests,grasslands, and historic forts.

The trek. Scaling Kalsubai has become something of a rite of passage for ardent trekkers. The trek is moderately difficult, passing through lush paddy fields, jungles, small streams, highlands and rocky terrains, and takes around 3-4 hours, with short intervals in between, to reach the crest of Kalsubai.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Trekfit Adventures, we understand that travel plans can sometimes change. We request all participants to carefully read and understand our cancellation and refund policy before confirming their booking.
1. Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before Departure
If you cancel your trek more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, a 30% cancellation charge will be applicable. The remaining amount will be processed according to the applicable refund policy.
2. Cancellation Within 12 Hours or On-the-Spot Cancellation
For cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled departure, or in case of an on-the-spot cancellation / no-show, no refund will be provided.
3. Booking Transfer or Event Change
Once a booking is confirmed, refunds are generally not applicable. However, subject to the conditions mentioned below, the paid booking amount may be:

Used for another Trekfit Adventures event within the next 3 months, subject to availability and applicable price differences.

Transferred to a friend or another participant.
4. Prior Intimation Required
To avail of the booking transfer or event-change option, participants must inform Trekfit Adventures at least 14 hours before the scheduled trek departure time.
Requests received after this period may not be eligible for transfer or event changes.
5. Trek Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Circumstances
If a trek is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Trekfit Adventures, including:

Other unforeseen circumstances
40% of the booking amount will be refunded.
6. Alternative Trek Option
In case the planned trek cannot be conducted, our trek leaders will make every possible effort to arrange an alternative nearby trek, subject to:

This option will be provided whenever operationally feasible, allowing participants to still enjoy their planned weekend adventure.
7. Changes to Itinerary
Trekfit Adventures always makes every effort to conduct the trek according to the planned itinerary. However, changes to the itinerary, timings, route, pickup schedule, transportation, or activities may be necessary due to:
