We are a group of travel enthusiasts who are passionate about exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating unforgettable memories together.

For this trip, we've carefully crafted an itinerary that covers the stunning beauty of Kerala and the spiritual significance of Kanyakumari. From the lush hills of Munnar to the serene backwaters of Alleppey, the rich wildlife of Thekkady, and the awe-inspiring Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, our journey promises a blend of nature, adventure, and spirituality.

This trip is more than just a vacation; it’s an opportunity to connect with the local culture, unwind in nature's lap, and explore the spiritual heart of Southern India. Whether it's cruising through the backwaters, witnessing cultural performances, or simply relaxing on the beaches, our goal is to make the most of every moment and enjoy the diverse landscapes Kerala has to offer.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1 Departure from Pune on Friday

    Train Name: Kanyakumari Express

      ~Board your train from Pune railway station at the respective time.

  • Start our Trip Journey from your Respective Cities towards Kerala.

  • Dadar Station, Mumbai: Board the train at 05:00 PM.
  • Pune Station: Board the train at 11:30 PM.
  • Travel overnight to Kochin.

 

  • Note: Train tickets will be in Confirmed or RAC (half window seat) as per seat availability at your time of bookings.

  • Day 2 Scenic Train Journey

    Meals: None

    • Our captains are well equipped to keep you entertained for a long journey for an amazing experience.
    • Also, don't forget to bring your UNO cards with you
    • Card games like Uno, Poker, or Indian Rummy.
    • Group games such as Antakshari, Dumb Charades, or Pictionary.
    • Story Sharing: Share travel stories and experiences with fellow travelers, making new friends along the way.

 

  • Day 3 Kochi | Athirapally | Munnar

    (Note: no bathing facilities here, but they will be available at the evening stay).

    • Arrival at Kochi Airport is around 03:00 AM.
    • Once everyone is together, we'll hit the road and start exploring God’s Own Country.
    • Meet your fellow travelers and Trip Captain as we head to breakfast
    • We will visit Spice Garden on the way to Munnar
    • Our first stop is Athirappilly Falls, Kerala’s highest waterfall, dropping 80 meters—a perfect spot for Instagram photos.

Afterward, we’ll drive to Munnar, arriving by night to settle in.

  • Day 4 Munnar Exploration

    • Wake-up call at 7 AM. Freshen up and have breakfast.
    • Visit Mattupetty Dam/Ayinarankal Dam.
    • Lunch on the way (boating or activities at personal cost).

    •  tea plantation and market hopping
    • Return to homestay for dinner and rest.
  • Day 5 Kolukkumalai | Thekkady | Kathakali Kalaripattu

    • Wake up at 4 AM for Kolukkumalai peak (5 AM if visiting waterfalls).
    • Enjoy sunrise at Kolukkumalai, or visit a secret waterfall if the peak is closed due to rain (jeep ride/waterfall entry at personal cost).
    • Drive to Thekkady by noon.
    • Visit the Elephant Camp for a ride (at extra cost), followed by a Spice Garden tour.
    • Enjoy evening Kathakali & Kalaripayattu performances.

  • Day 6 Allepey Stay | Backwaters Boating

    Meals: Breakfast +Dinner(Only if houseboat stay taken)

    • Later reach by afternoon and check in

  • Day 7 Munroe Island | Jatayu | Varkala

    • After breakfast, depart to Munroe island for a boating experience
    • Later visit Jatayu earth center and watch the largest statue in India
    • Post that we head to Varakal cliff for evening sunset

  • Day 8 Padmanabhan Temple | Azhimala shiva temple | Kanyakumari

  • ​Start early for a darshan at Padmanabhaswamy Temple (Temple opens around 3:30 AM)
  • Dress Code for Temple:
  • Men: Must wear a dhoti without a shirt.
  • Women: Must wear a saree, half-saree, or Mundum Neriyathum (set-mundu).
  • Children: Girls under 12 can wear gowns.
  • Post Breakfast Drive from Trivandrum to Azhimala.
  • Depart for Azhimala Shiva Temple – admire the 58-feet tall Shiva statue overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Proceed towards Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India.

  • Visit major attractions:
  • Vivekananda Rock Memorial
  • Thiruvalluvar Statue
  • Kanyakumari Temple
  • Experience the stunning sunset view at Kanyakumari.
  • Evening return to Trivandrum or overnight stay at Kanyakumari / Trivandrum.

*Note: The last day’s stay location (Kanyakumari or Trivandrum) will depend on hotel availability. Kanyakumari has limited accommodation options, so in case hotels are unavailable, the stay will be arranged in Trivandrum.

  • Any costs arising due to pandemics, natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks, delays, etc., will be borne by the clients on the spot and shared among all participants
  • Train, vehicle delays, and missed connections charges to be borne by participants
  • Any personal expenses beyond the inclusions

Day - 1

Departure from Pune & Mumbai.

Start our Trip Journey from your Respective Cities towards Kerala.

  1. Dadar Station, Mumbai: Board the train at 05:00 PM.
  2. Pune Station: Board the train at 11:30 PM.
  3. Travel overnight to Kochin.

Day - 2

Scenic train Journey

Activities on Train: Start the trip with group games to break the ice and build excitement. You can enjoy fun activities such as:

  1. Card games like Uno, Poker, or Indian Rummy.
  2. Group games such as Antakshari, Dumb Charades, or Pictionary.
  3. Story Sharing: Share travel stories and experiences with fellow travelers, making new friends along the way.

 

 

Day - 3

Arrive at Kochi and Transfer to Munnar.

  1. Arrive at Kochi in the morning and begin your scenic drive to Munnar (approximately 4-5 hours, covering 130 km).
  2. Enroute, visit Athirappilly Falls, Kerala's highest waterfall, renowned for its beauty and a popular shooting location. The falls cascade from a height of 80 meters.
  3. Enjoy the breathtaking views of tea gardens, waterfalls, and lush mountains as you continue your journey.
  4. Reach Munnar by evening, check into your hotel, and unwind after the drive.
  5. Overnight stay in Munnar.

 

 

 

Day - 4

Munnar Exploration

  1. Wake-up call at 2 AM if you're heading to Kolukkumalai Peak for a stunning sunrise.
  2. Afterward, explore Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake, where you can enjoy a serene boating experience.
  3. Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the rich history of tea production in Munnar.
  4. Head to Echo Point for panoramic views of the lush valley below.
  5. Return to the hotel for some rest and relaxation after an exciting day of sightseeing.
  6. Overnight stay in Munnar

 

 

 

Day - 5

Munnar to Thekkady Sightseeing

  1. After breakfast, drive from Munnar to Thekkady (3-4 hours drive covering 90 km).
  2. Check into your hotel and head out for Thekkady sightseeing.
  3. Take a boat ride at Periyar Lake to spot wildlife, such as elephants, tigers, and various bird species.(Click here to book Boating Tickets)
  4. Explore Spice Plantations and get a firsthand look at the cultivation of aromatic spices like cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon.
  5. Enjoy an elephant ride, a popular activity that gives you a chance to interact with these majestic animals.
  6. In the evening, you have the option to watch traditional Kathakali or Kalaripayattu (martial arts) shows, showcasing Kerala’s cultural heritage.
  7. Overnight stay in Thekkady

 

 

 

Day - 6

Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat

  1. After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (4-5 hours drive covering 150 km).
  2. Check into a Houseboat in Alleppey for a unique experience on Kerala's famous backwaters.
  3. Explore the serene backwaters on a day cruise, taking in the picturesque landscapes, lush greenery, and tranquil waters.
  4. Spend the entire day on the houseboat, relaxing and soaking in the beauty of the surroundings.
  5. Enjoy a delicious Local Kerala Thali for lunch onboard, featuring authentic Kerala cuisine.
  6. Experience the charm of staying on a traditional Kerala Houseboat, a perfect way to unwind.
  7. Engage in some fun Group Games with fellow travelers, followed by a delightful dinner on the houseboat.

Day - 7

Alleppey to Varkala Via Jatayu Earth Centre

  1. Depart from Alleppey and drive to Jatayu Earth Center.
  2. Jatayu Earth Center Explore the world’s largest bird sculpture and take a scenic cable car ride for panoramic views.
  3. After visiting Jatayu, proceed to Varkala.
  4. visit the Varkala Cliff to enjoy the stunning sea views.
  5. Head to Varkala Beach for a peaceful evening stroll and enjoy the breathtaking sunset.
  6. Explore the local markets and cafes near the cliff, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
  7. Then Reach Trivandrum & Check into Hotel Room

Azhimala to Kanyakumari/Trivandrum

  • Participants are expected to follow the instructions of the trek leader and adhere to a code of conduct that promotes safety and respect for fellow trekkers, guides, and the environment.
  • Any disruptive behavior that compromises the safety or experience of others may result in immediate expulsion from the trek without a refund.

 

Smoking and Drinking:

  • Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited during the trek.
  • Violation of this policy may lead to expulsion from the trek without a refund.

 

Guidelines by the Volunteer:

  • Participants are required to follow the guidelines provided by the trek leader and any accompanying volunteers.
  • Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary action.

 

Changes and Cancellations:

  • Trekfit Adventure reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the trek due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or other factors that may jeopardize the safety of participants.
